Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit diesem Hotel - Madame ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
very charming and delightful. The room was large with a beautiful view.
The owners were helpful, kind and charming. I will stay there again and
reccommend this hotel highly.
This is one of those wonderful secrets a friend passes on to you.
I lived in Paris for two years, during that time all my visitors
stayed in this hotel. The people are very helpful and friendly, not
what Americans often see at the 5* hotels. These are just great people.
It's also a very convenient location for touring. The two rooms at the top
are a special treat! On has a view of the Invalides and the othe a view of
the Eiffel tower. The price is very reasonable and a smal breakfast is optional.
My husband and I found this hotel to be perfect for us and our 14 month old daughter on a recent trip to Paris. The rooms are comfortable and immaculate, the bathrooms are spacious, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is in easy walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, the Invalides, the Musee Rodin, and even the Louvre. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a charming quiet hotel in an excellent neighborhood.
The Muguet was extremely pleasant, very nicely decorated with a lovely interior courtyard garden, quiet, clean, and run by very friendly staff. It was around the corner from la rue Cler, a charming pedestrian shopping street. In addition, their breakfast (not free) was more than the minimal bread, butter and coffee: it included juice, fruit, yogurt, eggs, and cereal. The only caution is that the twin bedded rooms have a shower but not a bathtub, and after a long day of sightseeing it would have been nice to be able to soak my feet! But I would definitely stay there again, and recommend it highly.
I share an appartment at 4 rue Chevert, which is on the other side of the Muguet. I travel to Paris on business every 6 weeks and sometimes, because of poor planning, I find myself forced to look for a hotel. There is no question in my mind, the very special Hotel Muguet is a gem in a terrific location.
We LOVE this nice hotel. The location
is ideal, the rooms are comfortable, the petit dejeuner is something special. Room 54 is special for its view of the Invalides. We stayed there in 1998 and will, be back again in 1999.
Wonderful.....this hotel was just the right fit for our first time in Paris. The location is super! The residential street is very quiet.
The owners and staff were charming and very helpful. And everything in this hotel was immaculately clean...especiallly the bathrooms. With the recent renovations it was like stay at a newly built hotel. I have reccommended this beautiful quiet hotel to many friends!
We feel that the Hotel Muguet made our Paris visit that much more enjoyable....It was like staying at a friend's new home!
My wife and I stayed at the Muguet for one week in early
June 1999 and very much enjoyed it. Our room was quite large
(the corner rooms are the largest) and the ensuite bathroom was
very modern and clean. The staff was very nice. It's
located on a quiet street and is a one or two minute walk
from any number of restaurants, cafes and boulangeries.
I would, without any hesitation, recommend the Muguet to
anyone looking for a comfortable, clean and affordable
hotel in Paris.
Hotel Muget was fabulous. We were there for our honeymoon. They arranged to have champagne and roses waiting for our arrival. The rooms were clean and the view of the eiffel Tower was pheonomenal (especially at night). The staff was very pleasant and helpful. And the location was within walking distance from many of the sites and more importantly, right around the corner from the Metro!
Christmas 2000 was a wonderful experience here. Some redecoration in progress but the rooms small but nice. Ours had a small shower but otherwise above two star expectation.
Stayed there for a week and was very pleased with the staff and how helpful they were to make sure of our comfort. Rooms were small by American standards, but very, very clean. Bed was comfortable. Location to the Metro, Eiffel Tower, good restaurants, museums, and the market at rue Cler is ideal. Easy walking distance to all. I don't think you can beat it for value. If you want to stay in the 7th, this is the place.
our stay was excellent. Good location-near Metro.Rooms very clean, good breakfast. In a safe and interesting area. Employees friendly. Would stay there on next visit to Paris.
The Muguet is in a terrific location, very, very, clean, and reasonable. The staff is most accomodating, but not "gushy" friendly. Our suggestion is to buy a breakfast of cheeses, bread, and fruit at the Rue Clere market just down the block, and take advantage of a terrific $1.52 cup of coffee at the hotel.
I had the very great pleasure of staying at this hotel for 2 weeks in November of 2002 and will be returning this October as I would not wish to stay anywhere else. The staff and owner were gracious and helpful, the rooms were quite pleasant with large windows overlooking the courtyard, and absolutely spotless. Though rooms were small, as most Paris hotels rooms are, they were so pleasant and cozy that you soon adjusted to the space. Very quiet and safe neighborhood and only a few blocks to the Metro. Will return again and again to this most charming hotel. As a woman traveling alone, Hotel Muguet and it's location was ideal for safety, comfort, ambiance and transportation.
I have to echo the remarks by others. I have stayed at the Muguet during six vacations, from 1993 to 2003, and it is by far my favorite Paris hotel. The walk to everything location, the friendly staff, et bien sur, the elevator, are all appreciated, and the petit dejeuner (not so petit)is exceptional. I will be there in 2004.
My husband and I spent 5 days here in Sept. 2004 during a heat wave. To our delight the Muguet is air conditioned! The desk clerk gave us a room with a view but it only had a double bed so she quickly changed it to a room with a queen. Very clean and comfortable but the stall shower was a bit of a phone booth for my 6 ft+ husband and his long arms. Good breakfast, great location.
My wife and I just spent a wonderful week in Paris and at The Hotel Muguet. This was our first visit to Paris and it was wonderful and the hotel was simply marvelous. It was very quant and our room had a view of the Eifel tower. It was spectactular to see the tower sparkle every evening on the hour. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The garden was beautiful to see every morning eating breakfast or just having a coffee. The rooms were kept very clean and air conditioned. As one previous post stated it is the best kept secret in Paris. The rates were reasonable and it was close to the Metro and just a couple of minutes walk to the Champs du Mars and Eifel Tower. There were many sites just within walking distance. Cafes were numerous and good in the area. We loved our stay at the Muguet and the friendly and helpful staff. I would have to say that all Parisians were helpful and friendly to us on our visit.
