• We stayed at the Hotel De L'Avre in early Nov 1996. We arrived without reservations and still got a room. The rooms are small but adequate. The staff was friendly. The location is great. The metro is close and central to all the tourist spots. Walking distance to the Tour Eiffel and the Champ de Mars. A Monoprix dept/grocery store is close. A good stay in a European Hotel.

• We stayed there first weekend in March. The place is extremely clean and everyone speaks English. You can't beat the price and location.

• We stayed in the hotel in November 1995. The location is absolutely o.K. Rooms are not very large, but the prizes are quite low, the staff is friendly, and our room was absolutely calm.

• Excellent service, very friendly,beautiful garden.

• April 1999 - 3 night stay; immaculate rooms - small but more than adequate; friendly staff; quiet; great breakfast and breakfast room; very convenient location in exciting neighborhood (restaurants, shops, market) on a side street half block from metro and near Eifel Tower. Will stay there again. Price is sure right.

• We stayed at l'Avre for 4 nights in April of 99. I wish it were for a month! With Claudine at the desk and the beautiful garden view it was idyllic. The metro (and great patisseries) are steps away. Quiet neighborhood, too. We'll be back!

• We stayed at the hotel in early July 1999, the location is very close to the Metro. The rooms are not very large but extremely clean, looks new! Especially for the rooms with garden view, excellent! We stayed there 6 nights because their good prices are quite low and the staffs very friendly, we will stay there again for our next trip to Paris as there is a good stay in Paris hotel.

• I have stayed at the Hotel de l' Avre several times in the past 5 years. Each visit was better than the next. I love this Hotel because the staff make you at home from the moment you arrive. They can help you in English and give you a few lessons on your French if needed. (Like me). I always tell people to forget searching for a hotel and just call the Hotel de l'Avre. They will take care of everything for you at a very resonable price.

• What can one say about a hotel that is charming, friendly, clean, has lots of character, has rooms overlooking a garden, is booked solid even in mid-March, is 150 metres from the Metro (3 lines and 20 minutes or less door to door to either Saint Germain de Pres or Place de la Concorde and a ten minute walk from the Eiffel Tower in an area that is more "real" than touristed? Well, I suggest booking well in advance for starters!

• We stayed in March of 2003. We are going back in January 2004. Clean and quiet. The staff were more than nice. We would not want to stay in any other hotel. Very close to Eiffel Tower.

• What can we say. We always stay at Hotel de l'Avre since 2000. The owners and the staff are all about hospitality and are always accomidating without any attitudes. Situated on a side street, its quiet. I love the garden and the breakfast is excellent. Its really affordable, and rooms are clean and comfortable. Its a little gem.
