• I've stayed here on and off for years. It's gotten nicer and more modern with time and it's now a very comfortable place to stay. I can recommend it to anyone seeking a -nice- -clean- -comfortable- hotel at a moderate price.

• I have regularly stayed at the Hotel du Midi since 1990. The manager, Joseph Boutrous and all of the staff are most helpful and courteous. As a previous writer has said, each year improvements are made. It is always clean and well kept and serves only the freshest croissants, brioche and orange juice each morning always on time as requested. The neighborhood is most interesting from the rue de Daguerre and its shops to the nearby Luxembourg Gardens. And the price is right.I will continue to use the Hotel du Midi in years to come.

• My wife and I stayed at the hotel August of 2000. We loved the hotel, the location and the friendly staff. It was clean and modern. I am recoomending it to my friends and would return next time I am in Paris. The price was right,too.

• We found the DuMidi to be a delightful, moderatly-priced hotel. The staff speak English well and are most helpful in every way. The location is ideal, the underground is right across the boulevard and most of the bus stops are right around the corner. Our next stay in Paris will certainly be at the DuMidi.

• I stayed here last year on a long weekend shopping spree in the city. I couldn't believe the convenience to the airport. I stepped off the train right across the street from the hotel. I was surprised to find a Jacuzzi tub in my room! What a delight on those cold, rainy days in Paris. The price is unbeatable. It is a little out of the way, but the metro connections couldn't be easier. The staff were very friendly. I intend to stay there on future trips to Paris.

• The hotel was recommended by my daughter who also stayed with us. The convenience to trains and local food shopping was very good. The window sound proofing worked. The staff were friendly to us Australians who spoke little French. The Hotel was being improved again and I would stay here again.

• I have stayed at this hotel about 5 times between 1984 and 2001. The last time there was somewhat disappointing. I had always looked forward to the excellent croissants at petit dejeuner. The last time, it was obvious that the croissants were no longer of the same high quality--like they came from some large retailer rather than a bakery. The preserves used to come in little saucers or pots, but the last time it was the standard Smuckers'-type restaurant pack. It has lost some of the charm for me, although the neighborhood is pleasant, convenient, and interesting. The hotel only suffers by comparison to what it used to offer.

• We have stayed here each year for 25 years and seen many improvements but the welcome from Joseph, Sonia et al has always been wonderful. It is a lovely area with great access to trains Metro & buses.

• Very well situated close to the RER and Metro. Rooms are clean,comfortable and staff members are polite and helpful. Many moderately priced restaurants within easy walking distance. Highly recommended.
