During the month of August, the Paris Kiosque, like the City itself, takes a month off. We'll be back in September.

Paris Libéré! Twelve years, ago when the internet was still young in the public's eyes, Paris.Org posted the internet's first pages about the liberation of Paris. These pages have, since the, become some of the classic web pages about that day. In that context, we repost our 1994 "Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Paris" celebrating now the sixty-second anniversary of that day: 25 August 1944.

Letter From Paris - Harriet Welty-Rochefort - French bashing is such fun! The thought that French bashing is such fun occurred to me the other day when I checked a book out of the American Library here.
