24 March 1995:
Installed ``headers'' (look at the very top of this page) on every page as a new approach to
navigating the Paris Pages (after all, there
are more than a thousand of them now). In addition
this header clearly identifies each page belonging to the Paris Pages
(it can be confusing sometimes to know exactly where you are on this fantastic web).
If you come across any bugs/snafu's please
send the Paris Pages a message with the URL of the
page in question.
Link to Paris Entertainment Addresses and
the Departments 77, 78, and 91
added to the Other Links page,
as well as the Calendar page.
A list of concert halls, movie theaters, playhouses, for Paris and surrounding area. This
list is searchable by category, street, metro stop, arrondissement, etc.

Bienvenue à tout le monde ! - Welcome to everyone !
24 September 1994:
Index of pages and links for WWW Paris
created; not exhaustive, nor fully well defined due to ambiguities between
external links & resources, and local pages, but probably useful just the
same.
Took out the gif images of the Métro maps; the jpg versions are used more
often and are nearly as good.
La version française de WWW Paris debut:
Wouai Wouai Wouai Paris !
Unlikely to become an exhaustive translation of WWW Paris in the near
term, and probably never a true translation, mais on va rigoler !
Link to the Minitel project of Sylvain Meunier
added to
Other links page. This gives access (3 minutes at a time) to the
telephone book of all of France.
A Special WWW Paris Exposition
Paris Libéré ! A Commemoration of
the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Paris officially opens; Contributed by
Norman Barth and Eric Pouliquen, with help from Nathalie Despoux, Jean-Eloi Dussartre,
and Françoise Martel.
24 August 1994:
New Home Page format. This new format can be loaded more quickly, and is also
more compact reducing the amount of scrolling necessary. There are many other
layouts which would be nice, but due to the diversity of browsers
and fonts, it is - in general - impossible to know where linefeeds will occur,
what the spacing will be etc. With luck, this new layout will not be too
complex for people to understand
yet have the desired features of improved ``charging'' speed, and less scrolling.
Your thoughts and feedback are welcome.

Associated with the Guest Book is also a

These images are apparently from ``Aloysha & Jean's'' collection.
WWW Paris no longer displays the number of visitors because this number is ambiguous.
The number of access to the Paris home page since 14 July has been 24645. This is essentially the
number of people coming in the ``front door''. However may people ``recirculate''. The number of ``independent''
visitors - depends how you want to define this - has probably been around 2000.
At a later date, some form of this number may be displayed again.
26 July 1994:
History section for the
Notre Dame exhibit completed.
New
Calendar icon created from fragment of Dali's Persistence .
(Some may claim that this is inappropriate, but do not forget that Dali
spent most of his life in Paris and around Figueres, and was part of the Paris
surrealist movement at the beginning of this century.)
