Galerie Mansart & Galerie Mazarine Dans un somptueux décor XVIIe siècle, expositions temporaires présentées dans la galerie Mazarine, ancienne bibliothèque du Cardinal et célèbre pour ses plafonds à caissons peints de sujets mythologiques par Romanelli, et la galerie Mansart, qui abritait les collections artistiques du Cardinal Mazarin. Ces expositions construites autourd'un propos expriment le caractère encyclopédique de la Bibliothèque nationale de France et font appel auxressources des différents départements, complétées par des pièces provenant de collections nationales et étrangères.
In the Palais Mazarin, the former royal library, the Bibliothèque Nationale is one of the richest funds in the world. It comprises departments for Prints, Manuscripts, Etchings, Maps and Plans, Music, three temporary exhibition areas: the Galerie Mansart, the Galerie Mazarine and the four Galerie Colbert areas - Vitrine des Arts du Spectacle; as well as a permanent museum: the Medals and Antiques Room.
Galerie Mansart & Galerie Mazarine In a sumptuous seventeenth century decor, temporary exhibitions presented in the Galerie Mazarine, the former library of the Cardinal famous for its painted ceiling decorated with mythological themes by Romanelli and the Galerie Mansart which housed the art collections of Cardinal Mazarin. These thematic exhibitions express the encyclopaedic nature of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and appeal to the resources of the different departments, completed by pieces from national and foreign collections.
