Ouverture fin 1996 de la Bibliothèque Nationale de France face au futur Parc de Bercy entre les Ponts de Tolbiac et de Bercy. Elle accueillera les fonds de la Bibliothèque Nationale et de diverses donations suite à la fusion de la Bibliothèque Nationale de la Rue de Richelieu et de la Bibliothèque de France, elle couvrira tous les champs de connaissance, utilisera les technologies les plus modernes de transmission de données. Quatre départements thématiques : sciences et techniques ; littérature et art ; sciences politiques, juridiques et économiques ; philosophie, histoire, sciences de l'homme et de la société. Architecte : Dominique Perrault .
Opening at the end of 1996; the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, opposite the future Parc de Bercy, between the Tolbiac and Bercy bridges. Designed by Dominique Perrault (architect). It will house the funds of the Bibliothèque Nationale and various donations following the merger of the Bibliothèque Nationale of the Rue de Richelieu and the Bibliothèque de France, it will cover all fields of scholarship, use the most modern means of data transmission. Four thematic departments: science and technology; literature and art: political science: law and economics; philosophy, history, human and social sciences.
